Hotels in a Small Town

Added on by Andrew Gawdun.

I made the travel to Cortez, Colorado for the funeral of my dear sweet grandmother, Eva over the weekend and finally landed tonight with the family.  I am not one who prefers fancy hotels to stay in so I booked us a room at the Aneth Lodge.  I was stoked for the humble stylings and boy oh boy did they deliver.  The uniqueness of the room makes this place epic in my book, and the bathroom alone deserved a small photo session to take our minds off the upcoming services.  All I needed was to have my family stand in as subjects in the beautiful vintage bathroom.  Oh and on a side note the couple who run this place are super nice and very friendly.  (I'm seriously in love with the color they chose).  -AG

Love and Family

Added on by Andrew Gawdun.

I live ridiculously close to the Pacific Ocean.  It only takes me 5 minutes to walk to the waters edge and I can easily see it from my balcony.  I don't say this as a form of bragging but merely as a visual reminder to myself that I am truly fortunate.  I'm always in awe of the waters edge and what it brings to it.  Of all the things it brings, it always brings couples, families and love.

I spent the other afternoon during the "golden hour" down by the waters edge and caught these two images of, couples, families and love.  I, as previously stated in a recent blog post about my love of storytelling, went deep inside and imagined the stories behind these moments.  But I'll keep those for me and let you create your own stories.  -AG
