It's funny how the world connects and reconnects people. The first summer I was living in LA, Bryce joined a softball team a bunch of our friends put together. To be honest we all admit we didn't really have a our softball skills together but we sure had fun! The only thing I remember from that summer was the amazon woman who smacked Bryce in the eye with the ball thus ending his ever growing softball career. You ask why I mention this in a post about a family session I recently shot. Well that same softball summer also turned out to be when I first met Nick Linz, but due to the "ball to face incident" I don't recall that. Fast forward to last summer and a gal from Manhattan Beach contacted Bryce about her husband Nick's lamps that he built seeing if they would be good fit for Bryce's shop. Of course they were so we sold a few. This was the way I re-connected with Nick and introduced to The Linz family.

Brooke and Nick were expecting their second child, Axel, and had expressed interest in doing a session once they had the little guy and right before they moved to be closer to their families in Ohio. This family is seriously MAGICAL! Seriously! Not once did I feel signs of unhappiness they all had smiles and the way they speak to each other and their kids is intoxicating with joy, something you just can't fake. I could have stayed for hours just taking in their happiness. While moving away from the beach is hard for most people, and I don think the Linz's would disagree, it's made possible with the love and support of family and knowing that at the end of the day you've got each other and that's what really matters. Here's to happiness and the adventures it takes you on! -AG
