I sure managed to get around during the month of August. In a 3 week period I covered the lands of Nevada, California and Hawaii. I managed to snap a few images to share with you all from the travel fest, because reading alone get's boring. The first part of my trip included a wedding for my very good and dear friend Molly. We've known each other since the good ol'days of high school so it only made sense that I agree to be in her wedding. With the wedding in Northern California I was able to stop in Reno for a few days and catch up with friends and family.
Setting out on an early August morning I left LA for Reno, Nv.
(When traveling into Reno I highly recommend early morning to mid morning flights. Reno has one of the worst airports to land in, as the city is literally in a bowl of mountains causing the most amazing turbulent chances. When it get's hot there it seems to be more turbulence.)
So I made it to Reno and had a couple days to play and catch up with friends and family, along with shooting a wonderful family session, of Roxanne and Ruben, gotta get some work time in. Needless to say I managed to get some town stalking in with my friend Ann. From vintage haunts to local food hot spots we covered the town...
We also practiced the art of letting the car cool down before getting into it, since it was BLOODY HOT out...
(I also know that by publishing amazing and lovely friend Ann's image above she may kill me. Let's hope not.)
The next series of shots from Reno were shot with the Holga 120GN and expired B&W Ilford Film.
I have been in love with this building for years! Reno may not ever be home again but one day I'll have a summer place in this building...
And that's that for now. Don't want to bog you down with tons of images. I'll have the friends wedding fun up next time. -AG
