It's not common for a tropical storm to pass through the Hawaiian islands, and it's even more uncommon for it to actually effect the island. Fortunately I am currently, as I'm writing this post, getting to experience this rare event from the island of Kauai. I decided to make do with the no surfing, no beach, and no sun day by hunting down the images that attempt a capture of this lazy day where normal sunny island activities get put on hold while we ride out the rains and wind. -AG
